Default Right to the top of my must have toy list!

    Chiappa .22LR M-Four Tactical Handgun

This just looks like it would be no end of fun.

I'm not familiar with Chiappa as a company. Can anyone shed any light on them?
Reputable? Make decent products? etc. etc.

Anyone know if anyone in the area carries Chiappa??

You might ask Coctailer. I seem to remember he got some in a while back.

As far as the company goes, I can speak for their 1911-22. I picked one up maybe a month ago and have put a few hundred rounds through it. The gun is plenty accurate and reliable to be a plinker. Fit and finish seem pretty sub-standard. Lots of play in the slide, to that point that it seems to rattle noticeably when shaken. Workmanship on some of the parts looks poor but not bad on others, sights kinda suck. However, despite an inferior fit and finish to rival guns (that is other full-sized .22lr's styled after popular centerfire handguns) such as the GSG-1911, Walther P22, Sig Mosquito, or ISSC M22, the Chiappa works as well as any of them and better than most of them.

Here's some pics of the seemingly sub-standard craftsmanship:

    barrel bushing:

And here's a pic of the gun itself:

Why not buy the S&W M&P 15-22P Pistol. MSRP is $519.00 but it's selling for closer to $430.

    Product: M&P15-22P Pistol

Agreed. I believe I'll be picking up the S&W M&P .22 Pistol, not the 15-22 Pistol, when I finally get a job and talk my wife into letting me spend more money.
