Default Dan Wesson 357 mag just refinnished

SO i got this in a box in pieces, had some dings, scratches, and few parts missing. ordered the parts and re-blued it, I dont like shinny guns so I made this one matt. No if they would send me the right firing pin i would be set. not to bad for $100 including the new parts.

Nice! I'd say you definitely got a bargain there! The matte blue is easy on the eyes as well

Did you have an issue with the side plate?
I don't know about the older ones like that one, but the 15s were so tight that a lot of times they would gall or even break coming off.

Good for you on restoring a cool revolver.

The side plate is a tight fit, slow and then slower when removing.

Nice job on the pork chop. I don't see many of these early models any more.

Very nice. I had the same model (one of the early ones right after they got away from the Buck Rogers looking external barrel nut) and it was the most accurate handgun I have ever owned. I still kick myself to this day for ever selling it.
