I now have over 500 rounds through mine. Every sort of ammo I could get my hands on. No problems.
I've owned and shot Kel-Tec P3AT's, Ruger LCP's, the little Taurus, etc. etc.

IMO, the DiamondBack is a winner.
I've been selling a lot of conceal carry types for a few years.
The hot/fad item of late has been the Ruger LCP. Before that it was the P3AT. Those two as you know are twins.
The DB is very close to a Glock in miniature form. I found the ergo's of the DB to be spot on for me. For me, target acquisition is the best out of all I've tested. Also, because it has actual sights even at 25 yards, bullet placement is very effective.
The trigger: Most have a hammer action, but the DB380 is striker-fired. It has a positive mechanical firing pin block for safety, and the twin action bars and striker action result in a very smooth and relatively light trigger pull.
What I hate about the P3AT and the LCP is that the trigger pull is sooo looong it reminds me of these old 89 cent cap guns I had as a little boy

You're going to have issues with any mass produced product. I don't care if it is a Ruger, S&W, SA, Taurus, Kelt-Tec or the DiamondBack.
Out of all the hand guns I've owned and sell in the conceal carry family I've not had any issues related to the manufacturer except for a Ruger SRC9 (not really in the mini family) that had an ejection issue.

As far as the mini's are concerned, keep them very clean. I used to carry a P3AT, and after a few months in my pocket, it gathered pocket lint all up in the hammer spring and would misfire as the amount of lint gathered was enough to weaken the action of the hammer spring.

Mines been a total POS, but I have hope if it can be fixed or replaced with a new version.

I actually love the gun, but until it functions correctly it's just a paperweight.

In the next couple of weeks it will be making it second trip back to DB.

After 35 rounds the gun developed what I call the "clicks". The trigger could be pulled, the striker was being released but it wasn't hitting the primer. What's weird is that the trigger was resetting itself without moving the slide. It also locked up the slide, I was able to free it by pulling the striker back a bit.

Sent it back to the factory and they "fixed" it. Took it out when it showed up, made it another 60 rounds before the "clicks" started again. I also got FTF/FTE problems after that.

It's been sitting in my safe for the last 8-9 months, plus I use it as a mold for holsters.

Lately after hearing about some newer DB's that seem to be working I have been back in contact with DB to see if I can get the gun replaced.

They wanted me to pay to ship it back, but after explaining to them that they paid for shipping last time and the gun still didn't work, I convinced them to pick up shipping again. Going to call on Monday and get the shipping label sent to me. If it works when it gets back I will be very happy.

If anything I am bummed that this gun did not work. Out of all the compact .380's that I have(LCP, TCP, P238, BG380, KT) and those I have borrowed(Kahr P380), the DB is the one that I like the best and would carry if it works correctly.

Lately i've been shooting my S&W Bodyguard .380 and am starting to really enjoy it.
