Thread: short tube / long tube

Does anyone know if a long tube magazine can be used to replace a short tube magazine on my Marlin 375 (336?). Not sure if the action is like a 336 or a 444/1895 ?
I tried a Marlin forum, but it wouldn't format with my computer. Thanks for the help.

You can install a full length tube, but a dovetail cut will have to be made near the muzzle for the tube support stud. You will also need the long spring, of course. The .375 uses the same tube diameter as the .30-30.
