Thread: Hillsboro/Westside: Rifle barrel rust removal and bluing service?

anyone know of anyone in my neck of the woods (Hillsboro area) that could take some rust off a rifle barrel and fix the bluing? I picked up a used gun on the cheap and it needs some TLC. Has surface rust all over the blued barrel and a little on the receiver.

You might check with Revelation Arms in Aloha. They are a supporting vendor. I have not used him, but I hear he does good work.

Also check with Al's gun shop in Forest Grove (Verboort). Not sure if he does refinishing work, but I have had him do some gunsmithing for me and was pleased with the work and price.

I've been pleased with repairs done at Al's - though I can't say I've had a lot of guns break - so I've only used his services a couple times. Fair prices, quick turn around. I was quoted 3 weeks, but had my gun back within a week from Al's.
