Thread: Who is best 1911 smith in Portland area?

I am going to have my Colt Combat Commander colpetly redone. Who is the best 1911 guy in town. I have used Shooters Service Center in the past and he has done good work. Anyone been there recently? Is the work still as good?

Call brightwater ventures in vancouver, they have a guy that does great work. I just had him go through my 70 series, its just like new now.

Well not Portland, but rarely do best and in your particular city work out! Now in our area I can think of DandV small arms in Federal Way, and there's also Rob Shepherd of M9 Guns out of Salem.

Joe Vering over in Molalla is quite good as well. He's a retired US Army guy that's been doing this well for 35+ years. He is across the street from Wild Bill's, and only has a roll up door.

Kurt Janzen is probably the best around but only does work for people he knows. He is the guy that used to work out of Brightwater years ago.
