Default savage 1899 30-30 replacement barrel

Does any body know of somewhere to get a replacement barrel for a savage 1899 30-30?

You could simply have it relined and so keep it mostly original. Rob

You could either get it relined to .30 or rebored to .32, .35, or .38 caliber. Delta Gun Shop up in Colville, WA relined my .38 cal 1873 Remington Rolling Block No.1 sporter's barrel and at the same time rechambered for .357 Mag. and converted it to centerfire. It's really sweet to shoot now, and you can't tell it's been relined even with a magnifying glass..

They also make barrels from scratch.

I threaded, chambered, and made the many Sav99 breech cuts to rebarrel this old Sav99.

It is a real pain. The threads are square. There is a relief cut at 12 O'clock, 3 O'clock, and 6 O'clock on the breech. Then there is a bolt recess.

In the pic, you can see square threads and one of the breech cuts I had to make.
