Default Lost My Mainspring housing Pin for my 1911... Salem Area.

If not for bad luck I would have no luck. Set the pin down and turned to do something and poof...like magic it was gone.
Anyone in Salem/Keizer got a Blue one they can sell me?

    Thanks,

    Andy

Will all be a monkeys uncle.... I just found it hiding in the carpet.

That guy in the linked story must have some crazy Ninja skills. He could probably stick his hand threw your chest and rip out your heart.

Either that guy is on steroids, or his skin is as thin as tissue paper.

Every once in awhile I lose a small part. Now I have a medium size high power ceramic magnet. It's kinda funny when the wife catches me combing the dining room carpet with the magnet. In the process I have found several thumb safety springs and other little goodies the supersucker vacume cleaner has failed to find. (<:}-

The guy probably got so much flak due to his moronic self-injury he must have edited the post. What he did was have the hammer cocked will trying to remove the mainspring housing pin thereby putting downward pressure on the mainspring housing via the hammer strut, mainspring and cap. When he met the resistance he force it, I suspect by slamming the punch on a hard surface while holding the grip with his hand over the pin. Pure knucklehead head move.
