Default CMMG .22 LR conversion kit question

I bought a CMMG kit a few months back and finally got to try it out a week ago. The kit itself fits really tight in my upper. I can usually get it in but the last inch or so of the kit is tough and usually requires some force. Thus removing it also requires some force as well. It's well lubricated but i am still having the same issue. It shoots fine but i am noticing that it's starting to leave deep scratches inside my upper? I googled this issue and other are having the same problem.

Tried to call CMMG but i have not heard back and I can't seem to get a live person. So i've pretty much abandoned the idea of sending it in to them. My buddy has the same kit and it fits fine in my upper without this issue. Should i just have a gunsmith work on it at this point?

I think you should call CMMG again. It if doesn't work as well as your buddy's kit, then something is wrong with your and they need to make it right.

You might try posting in their industry section over on AR15.Com - Your Firearm Resource. (AR-15, AR-10, M4 Carbine, M16, H&K, SIG, FNH, FAL, AK-47, 50 Cal, M1/M1A, Handgun, Pistol, Training, Hunting, and More!) as well.
