    Default Recoil Pad Install

Anyone have any experience or recommendations on a gunsmith for installing recoil pads? The heavy loads in my 45-70 are starting to hurt and I can't find any direct fit pads for a 1895 CB so there will have to be some trimming and shaping done. McMinnville area is best but I work in Hillsboro and go to Salem frequently. Thanks for the help...

You can order a direct-fit online (midway, midsouth, or natchezss).
Fit one yourself - its not that tough, and would be satisfying.

Last and not least - to answer your actual question: Check out Kurt at H&K guns in Forest Grove.

This one is supposed to be a direct fit on that gun (even though it's not listed in the applications)
Amazon.com: Limbsaver Precision Fit Recoil Pad #10102 for Baikal, Ithaca, Marlin, Mossberg, Remington, Thompson Center Arms, Weatherby, Winchester (Read Product Description for Model Details): Sports & Outdoors
If you can turn a screwdriver you can install it yourself.
