Default 1911 grip screws and bushing question....

So I recently picked up a Les Baer Thunder Ranch Special and it has the slim grips that come from the factory. I don't particularly like the slim grips, so bought a pair of custom wood grips that are a standard thickness. Of course, I go to install them, and the screws are too short. My question is...

If I buy standard length grip screws, will they work fine, or do I have to buy new grip screw bushings as well, and install them?

I've never swapped out different thicknesses of grips, and don't know if the slim grips use standard bushings, or some special ones.

I've seen regular grip screws work on slim bushings, so you should be ok. But there is that one oddball time ya know...
