    Anybody know of a gun smith that can work on a J-frame S&W,(some one with experience).Would like them to be some where besides portland.
    ie salem mac or other.

    Guncrafters in Salem has done excellent work for me in the past.

    What kind of work do you need to have done and on which model?

    model 36 J frame
    replace some springs with wolfe springs.

    I have done this in the past with my wife's model 37 but that was
    years ago,Can't seem to get my stuff together and do this one.

    Default Possible referral

    I just obtained this mans name from TriCounty GC. Burt Christophersn, CLEA. 503-244-0305. or burtonc677wwdb.org. I do not know of this man personally nor of his work, but he is a "full service shop" and seems to have some sort of LEA certification. You could contact him for references. Let me know if this works out. He is in Portland (SW).

    Thanks guys I think I have it covered now. Got on the S&W forum all the how to info was there.
