Thread: Group buy on gun safes?

Anyone ever do any group buys on gun safes? Just wondering.

Costco has a nice sized safe for 499. I would buy it now, but I'm going to be moving in a few months and it weighs all most 500 lbs, so I'm going to wait till after I move.

I would be interested in a group buy from Tacker Safe. I believe they are in Vancouver, WA anybody have a contact up there?

Also another place in Boring, OR as well that has good deals???

+1 on a quality built safe.

Any preferences on min. size? like, nothing smaller than a 24 gun safe?? I guess it will depend on which one we get the best deal on. Maybe we can take a vote/poll on it?

I'm open and agree on best deal. flexible on size and spend.

Might be able to work a deal where they don't all have to be the same size? Just a larger number purchased all at once might be enough, that way, if someone wants a smaller one or a very large one they can get what they want.......just a thought.

Anybody have a connections with Mountain View Safe Company in Boring? Maybe make contact and see what interest he may have??? I am looking at his 20 position safe with a couple of his pistol accessories as well...

I would prefer the 22 position safe, it's laid out the same as my Cannon except his has external hinges.

I saw this safe. It's a very nice safe for the price. Wish I'd never order my Cannon C20 from Costco. The Winchester has more locking bolts on all sides. And It's about the same size.

I have been looking at safes for the pastyear and Costco has the best deals. I would be interested in a group buy.

I checked with costcos online store and this is what she said,

"Thank you for your e-mail to Costco Wholesale.
Unfortunately, we would not be able to give a group discount on the purchase of 5 different safes that would ship to different locations.
Our online inventory is considered an extension to our warehouse product inventory.
Costco will try not to duplicate online products with warehouse products.

I'll try a couple of the manufactures and see what they say.

I spoke with Charlie at Mountain View Gun Safes and he stated that he would do a deal of buy 10 get one free??? I'm not sure how we could work the discount in, does anybody know Charlie or would be willing to make something happen? I will be checking with Tracker Safe in Vancouver tomorrow as well...

I just checked costco again and looks like they have some pretty good deals on Canon Safes: Think anyone can do any better than this for the size and cost?

There Winchester safe it 500 and I think it is only a little smaller...........These are the best prices I have seen. I have sent emails to a few different manufactures, but didn't get a response.

Okay, so I just spoke with Richard at Tracker Safe in Vancouver and he stated that if we could find (5) or more buyers the discount would be $50 off per safe and that (10) or more buyers would be $65 off per safe. Go and check their website at trackersafe.com.

This does not include shipping which would be extra...

Similar safes to MTN View, but from a big company to back the warranty, name brand locks, better fireproofing and heavier steel, nicer finish, etc... Pretty close on price as well. He buys in bulk and might be interested in doing a group buy. Here's his email. bulldogtuffsafes@hotmail.com or his number Danny At 503-312-0023. He's a great guy to work with and I'm very happy with my Bighorn 6039 with electric lock. When I bought mine he threw in a dehumidifier and the electronic lock for free.

I've been wanting a Bighorn 6039EL. I've been waiting for Costco to put it on sale.

Keepin' this thread alive...I'd be in on a good buy on a US made safe.

I'm just in the market for a decent safe in the next few weeks... I'm looking to spend ~500 or so for a decent sized something. Any chance we're close to one of the above deals?
