Default Keltec bullpup in NATO 7.62

There is a new bull pup from Keltec called a RFB. I'm interested in getting one but they don't seem to actually exist yet. I know that they have shipped from the vendor but things get fuzzy after that, kind like a morning after draining a bottle of tequila.

I have no expirience doing group buys like this, nor do I have a FFL. I am wondering if Keltec might respond to someone waving cash around asking for 10 guns though. Maybe I should ask, do vendors take cash any more?

Anyone else out there interested? Contacts with Keltek would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I've been looking for one myself ever since I read an acticle about them a year ago. If you find anything out let me know. But calling keltec won't get you anywhere, I've been there and the rep. told me they would be shipping out in a few weeks...that was in may....

I've seen several for sale on other forums, by dealers. They have actually shipped. I'm wondering if there is opportunity for a group buy; several folks I know are interested. Would 10 make a deal for some Keltec distributor? Thanks for the thoughts so far, I'll try to get in touch with Cocktailer in the next day or two.

GB isn't going to happen. and as a matter of fact the dealers can sell them for alot more on GB than they can on these forums.

They have been around for a year or so.
They are produced in such low quantities, no amount of cash will secure you 10 of them.
If you want one, you can watch gunbroker. That is the only way you will get one right now.
You can pre-order one at every gun store in the PNW. You won't get one that way either.

I think I may have had more of them than any other dealer on the west coast. 2.

I have 50 on order. It may take 2-3 years before I see 1/2 of them.

So they do exist, thanks for the picture. Seems like trying to pull hen's teeth, getting a hold of one. How does it shoot? What do you think of it Snew? Often the reviewers turn out to be an... arm of the marketing machine. Love the design though.

Will it shoot .308 also, or only the NATO 7.62?

I think ill wait a year or so to pick up mine, hopefully the rush will be over. Everyone keep their fingers crossed on political efforts at gun control. Pfft.

I love it. I literally want to sleep with this rifle. It's an unhealthy relationship.

It feels lighter than it is just because it's so compact. It's very fun to clear the house with. The recoil is very reasonable and extended range sessions have no effect. Accuracy is very good. The two people at the range I've let shoot it had all their holes touching with South African surplus. I am only good for 1.5 MOA apparently. I know I don't shoot well and that's why I let others try.

It's chambered in 7.62 NATO but it ships with a long letter that talks about the differences between the two cartridges that wraps up with the summary that Kel Tec says it's alright to shoot both rounds in this rifle.

The only issue I had was the bolt hold open release tabs are screwed on with teeny-tiny screws and they came loose after only a few rounds. A little dab of blue locktite and they're still snug after 250 rounds. Not really an issue but on the mag it shipped with, the floorplate tends to slide off. It's still very usable but it can get annoying. Metric FAL mags are pretty inexpensive though and readily avaliable. Many have been advertised on our own EE here.

Kel Tec really needs to step up production of these. Everyone needs one.

Unlike 5.56 vs .223, there is no real "distinguishable difference" between 7.62 nato and .308 win. Their interchange is considered safe by the Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers Institute (SAAMI). I'm sure this statement will turn heads but although the exact specifications are not identical they ARE fully interchangeable. This does not however mean that the performance will be identical.
