    Default Custom Leather Holsters

I make custom leather holsters. Each holster is custom fit and molded to a particular make and model of gun. All holsters are completely lined with vegetable tanned leather. I offer two styles each of OWB and IWB holsters as well as western and field style holsters. I also offer concealed/open carry double layer gun belts and cartridge belts and knife sheaths. I pride myself on doing high quality work at an affordable price. Holsters and belts start at $50 and sheaths at $45. Magazine carriers and special orders also available. Please contact me at eugene@rnrgunleather.com for more information.

    Thanks

I don't have a website yet, hopefully that will be coming next year.
I don't have any holsters premade. All of my work is made to order. At this time I haven't done any for railed 1911s. The Taurus 1911 with rails is the only railed 1911 that I've been able to find a dummy gun for and I haven't had the chance to compare it to other railed 1911s to see if it would work for them. The only way to do some holsters is to have the gun they are intended for in hand.

That's kind of what I'm hoping to do at this point. I'm laid off right now and what I'm making off of holsters I'm reinvesting into more supplies and dummy guns so I don't the money to pay someone to create a website.

I need one like the top picture for a Kahr P45.

What is the process for getting one made?

All of my holsters are hand molded and boned to fit a specific make & model of gun. I do not offer any one size fits all type holsters. As such I do require payment in full before I start. I except payment by Gunpal, Paypal & cash. Once I have received payment your holster will ship in approximately 1 week if it's for a gun I already have a dummy gun for. If I need to order a dummy gun then it takes about 4 weeks as the dummies can take 2-3 weeks to get. Occasionally there is no dummy gun available for a given make and model and in that case I need the actual gun. I do not have a FFL so all firearms transfers must be done face to face.

Thanks for the info SheepDog223 I'll have to check it out.

OWB & IWB holsters and carry belts range from $50-$60

Western style holsters are usually around $75 and cartridge belts $100

This style IWB is made the same as an OWB pancake holster and works very well to distribute the weight of a large gun. This style is also thinner than the other due to the belt loops being off to the sides rather than on top of the gun. It also has the added benefit of being able to easily change the belt loops if you carry with different color or width belts.

This style is very compact and works well for smaller frame guns. Instead of being two pieces of leather that each cover half the gun like a pancake holster this one is made of one piece wrapped all the way around the gun and therefore eliminates the need for a seam and excess leather along the top of the barrel. I carried a 4" 1911 in this style for many years and it worked quite well but does not distribute the weight as well as the other style. Also the belt loops on this style are not replaceable.

This one is a OWB. It's made with straps which wrap around the belt and secure with a snap. Some people prefer this style if they are going to be putting on/removing the holster several times during the day since you don't have to undo your belt to do so.

Do you line these or possibly make a horse hide IWB? What about pics of belts?

I'm looking for a high riding, high cant, open top OWB holster with a body shield for a Taurus 24/7 compact 9mm. Your first holster looks close to what i want.

All of my holsters are lined with vegetable tanned leather. I don't do any horsehide. I've only got one pic of a belt but can take more in a couple of days when I get another one finished if anyone wants.

There does not appear to be a dummy gun available for the 24/7 compact, however there is one for the fullsize 24/7 so it should be possible to do what you want since it just has a shorter barrel and rail. Email or PM me if you want to discuss it.

    thanks

    Eugene,

What kind of stitcher are you using, if you don't mind me asking? Toro 3000, or Tippman Boss, or something else entirely?

I've only tried hand stitching so far, but have been interested in getting a Campbell, Randall, Union Lockstitch, or Landis 3, but those machines cost a big wad of dough.

Are you cutting patterns by hand, or punching them out with a clicker press?

BTW, that belt could use a nice buckle...

Nice work, judging from the pictures!

After hand stitching for years I bought a Tippmann Boss a little over a year ago. Eventually I would like to get a different machine but that's going to have to wait awhile. I don't have a clicker so all my patterns are cut by hand.
That belt is my personal belt and I hadn't gotten around to putting the buckle on yet when I took the picture.

I ordered an open top OWB holster for a Sig 229 just over a week ago. I'm not able to post pics, but the holster I ordered is the first one from the top in the photos posted by Eugene at the beginning of this thread. The holster arrived today. Eugene makes a high quality product and the price/service are excellent.
