Yes - if I had an M4 loaded up with 7 bean bag rounds I would be absolutely terrified of a teen with a knife at 25+ feet. Cops are killing far too many people unnecessarily. People would feel differently if it was their son.

No one dislikes MPD or the sheriff's dept. down here more than I do. No one. But if they got the facts right, (and I always wonder when the police, sheriff and prosecutors dept and, well never mind) but if that's the facts, good shoot.

7 feet distance, 14 inch knife in slashing motion and I'd shoot. It just sounds like the officers could use a little more range time, LOL.

From what I understand the officer was knocked to the ground by the kid with the knife and officier made the shot from his back...
