Thread: Outdoor shooting in esticada

Does anyone know of an outdoor area near esticada too shoot that is not a shooting range?
How far can you shoot there?
I fish out there sometimes and would like to find a place to get a few rounds off while i'm out for the day.

As I recall, there is a place off of Memaloose Rd near Estacada to shoot at. I stopped going there because it seemed as if nobody ever picked up their trash after shooting. The place was starting to look literally like a dump.

yeah thats not good,i always try to take out what i bring in unless it's a good target someone else can use.
this is why we lose shooting and fishing holes because people think it's a trash dump.

I always bring at least one big black trash bag to pack out what I packed in, and to pick up other people's crap. I'd like to horsewhip people who leave all their s**t behind.

thanks for the info drew.maybe people realized if they dont clean up they wont have it to shoot at.
on some fishing forums the guys would take a saturday and clean up a certain hole then fish for the day together,there should be such a cleanup here,it shows the county that the gun guys are responsible and helpful and take care of the place were blessed with.

I believe the same and pick up a bag or 2 of garbage I didn't bring. If there's a stereo or small appliance I can haul, I'll grab that too. There's another thread regarding a cleanup from a couple summers ago that I helped with. There was a lot of garbage then.

thats cool.that was a lot of garbage and im sure it spoke volumes to everyone who seen it after the clean up.
