    Default 100 YEARS OF 1911

    Who bought a new 1911 in 2011 to celebrate 100 years of the finest workhorse ever made? and what did you buy?

    I bought the kimber tactical pro ll in 4"...love it!

    It wasn't a new 1911, but it was new to me. Got this from Pinkhamr this year. Very nice. Ive even been told by a few 1911 fans that say the trigger on it has had some real nice work done to it.

    Didn't have enough funds this year to purchase one. I really wanted too. If I ever sold my '69 Beetle, I might have taken some of that money there to buy one.

    Traded my glock 21 for a very fine Detonics combat master in .45. Love that gun now.

    that still counts,you got it in 2011.nice gun...what model is that?...i love kimbers,i said i would never buy one because i didn't want a gun that cost so much i would be afraid to scratch it but im glad i bought it.

    To celebrate the 100th birthday of the 1911, in 2011 I bought a Remington 1911R1

    Its just the entry level Custom II with some nice trigger work done to it. It wasnt that much really. Pinkhamr gave me a great deal.

    I picked up a sig 1911 ultra compact dec. 23rd and ran 100rds through it on the 24th, couldnt be happier.

    Default Not new, but my first 1911 amazed at how accurate it is.

    Not new but my first 1911, its not as nice as the ones on here.
    Recently got this from a fellow member, i shot it for the first time yesterday i am hooked.
