Thread: Ak47 that shoots 223 so is it an Ak74

I picked up an ak47 I thought? It shoots 223 and it's a wasar 3. Old? It have never had a refub done to it and still has the cleaning kit in the but stock. What's it worth?

Huh?

First of all...an AK74 fires 5.45, not 5.56 (.223). I'm guessing you are refering to a Centry Arms WASR-3? Used, I would estimate about $300 (in fair to good condition).

unless his AK is a Galil or Golani in which case it would be a .223/5.56mm

In .223 (5.56) it is a WASR-3 by Century....brand new in 2007 from DDs Ranch they were selling for $349.99

The year is 1989 or 1969 can't tell it is all hand scribed

I have a Romy "SAR-3" that is a 5.56mm. She's been a great rifle. Get some Wieger (east German) mags for her.
