Special Agent Kelvin Crenshaw said the toys can be easily retro-fitted into dangerous weapons.
"With minimal work it could be converted to a machine gun," Crenshaw said.

'That shipment is worth around $12,000 and the ATF is promising to destroy the entire shipment.'

    That's $400 a gun for airsoft

They're so cheap because they're from Taiwan.

there is NO WAY that they could stand the pressure of a cartridge in chamber going off.

I have two high end airsoft rifles and there's not a chance in H E Double-Hockey-Sticks that either one of them could withstand the pressure.

I haven't personally seen these. But is there a chance that an upper could be mated with one of these lowers? Is that what the atf is all in a snit about?

From what I understand a standard AR upper will pin to the lower. These are not those clear plastic, battery operated air soft guns they sell at Fred Meyer for $29.99.
