Thread: Favorite Firearm Books?

I can't honestly say I own a firearm book aside from some NRA training material, but I'm planning on getting some new reading material soon. What're your favorites?

I found this today, and I think I'm going to order it. Anyone seen it?

It's not directly about guns per say, but I really enjoyed reading the following book. It gave me a lot to think about when I was looking at becoming law enforcement. I'm still very interested in LE, but just haven't found the right way to go about getting involved.

For AR's - Green Eyes & Black Rifles, as well as Black Rifle I & II

For shooting specific, Plaxco's book is pretty timeless. Also look at Jim Gregg's "Method of fire control"

There's a ton of books out there on the market. My recommendation would be to find 2-3 that are highly recommended, then hit the range. Reading is good, but you'll never get anywhere without quality range time. And by quality, I mean no messing around, have a good mind set the whole time, and make sure you remember one thing...........practice does not make perfect, perfect practice makes perfect.

Hey Joey, next time you're over remind me to show you my really old Encyclopedia of outdoor stuff. All sort of neat old guns in it.

If you liked that one by John Ross,try 'Enemies Foreign and Domestic'.
'PAX Americana' isn't a bad read either.
'The Collapse' by Jeff Stanfield is really good,but it is a long read and has a strange ending.

Yes,by the man who was there and spoke out about it.
He passed a way a couple years ago,when alive ,he was the most decorated soldier in our country.
My Fil and i have some of his books that we ordered direct from the author,so they arrived autographed.

Wow, wasn't aware that he had passed........sad thing to know that we are in an era where some true war heroes are on the way out.
