I've fallen in love with my Marlin SDT and I don't see me going on long walks in the woods with this anymore. :(

This is my Marlin 1895 Guide gun. 18 1/2" barrel. Marlin porting. It was converted to 457 WWM, Wild West Magnum, by Wild West Guns in Anchorage, Alaska. They really work the action over to feed a round with a longer COL and this guns feeds flawlessly! Still shoots 45/70 ammunition. In addition to the action work it's had added:

  • WWG Bearproof Ejector
  • WWG Happy Trigger (no creep, crisp break)
  • WWG Big Loop lever
  • Brockman's Gen III front and rear sights
  • Pachmayr F990 recoil pad (super comfy)
  • 18 pieces brass headstamped WILD WEST GUNS .457
  • 18 pieces Starline 45/90 brass cut down to .457 specs.

$900 or offer

I have load data from Wild West Guns and the Hogdon site even lists this and has data for it.

Price drop. It's right about the cost of parts without the conversion now.

I'd consider trades for S&W model 19, 65, 66. 1911. Threaded .22 rifle. Double shotgun.

I have to say I'm really surprised this is still for sale. It is $1300 worth of gun, parts, and work. I thought a $300 credit for use was good but you guys are killing me. :s0039:
