Truck recommended in the summer & in the winter a chained, lifted 4WD with a competent driver is absolutely required.

VIDEO LINK BELOW

On one side you get the best view you've ever seen, on the other is an excellent, open quarry.

Rear

Range, (Yea, I know tons of snow. This was during the Winter, obviously...)

Old video from my friend here during the summer time, lol... He's now in the Marine Corps - Recon. (Holy bubblegum!)

PS - You'll need a truck to get up there, and you'll 100% need a seriously lifted 4wd with chains to get up there in winter.
No joke, my ride got a suburban stuck. (only 2 of 4 low quality chains made it up, lol)

Nice vid rambo

Hahaha...
My good friend Chris, in Recon now - I think he was at Jump school here with the Army jumpers in the pic as well.

The place I usually go is up in/near Mollala, it is a deidcated shooting gravel pit. Out to maybe 100 yards max, if no ones there. You can also hike around on the fireroad next to the shooting pit and find some cooler places to shoot. LEGALLY, in this area (BLM Land), you can shoot anywhere that is 150 meters from a road, river, campground, etc.. So my friend and I frequently went up there and found a new spot almost everytime. Some volunteers were driving around picking up trash, and told us we couldn't shoot where we were shooting, demanding we get out of there. I explained that legally we could be there, and that she should speak to the ranger about it. They told us there is a shooting pit in the area, so we went there, and here is how you get there: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&saddr=&daddr=45.75502,-123.419037&hl=en&geocode=10323052845836805231,45.754060,-123.422360&mra=mi&mrsp=0&sz=14&sll=45.765068,-123.421698&sspn=0.051433,0.104713&ie=UTF8&ll=45.754604,-123.418372&spn=0.012861,0.026178&t=h&z=16

Thanks for the tip. Find it on Google Maps and post a link if you would...

I've got pics on my thread.

Before Music road there is a left turn and it dips down fast and you go in between two little tiny ponds, then goes back up a hill kinda quick. It's all a dip at the entrance.

Has anyone been to this spot recently? I wouldn't mind going to check it out but was wondering if it is still a valid area to shoot at.
