Hey guys - I've finally finished both my Florida and Utah applications - now for the wait...

What I still don't have is the Oregon permit - which is obviously the next most logical one to get.

That said - I don't get down to Oregon often. I know Sheriff Palmer is very gun friendly, but unfortunately - Canyon City is about 7 1/2 hours from here...

Are there any other alternatives? I know I have to apply in person - so I am looking for a little less road trip. Any other Sheriff's to go to that may be a little closer. I missed Sheriff Palmer's visit to Vancouver last month.

Also - on the Oregon application it lists character references and you have to provide two. Are these just two people that know you well and will say so if contacted? I just wasn't sure.
