Ya I've been there a couple times in the last few weeks, the guy that owns it is a really nice guy. However, imho, his prices are really overpriced and he says he's not budging on them which was dissapointing because I want to do business with the new local gun shop. Just for an example of what i mean, i've been shopping for two Ruger firearms, the SR-556 and the LCR. His price on the SR is the retail price of $1,995 (which look anywhere and you can find them around 1,380-1650ish). Also on his LCR he had it priced at around 600 something and you can find those anywhere from 400-430ish. So I definately won't be buying any guns from him but i do occasionaly buy some ammo because i really do want to support local business, especially gun business finally in Mac

Im with the guy above me.. The dude and his wife are very friendly. however I wont return to him, he sold me a box of Blazer .45 auto for 28.99. Same stuff that can be had at Bimart and walmart for 9.99.. Feel like I kinda got taken seeing as how I bought 2 of the same exact boxes just a few days ago at walmart at 9.99.... He's nice but thats about it, his prices are way too high and he doesnt have much on the shelf.. He got me a price on a Kahr K9, he came with 1349.99 with nite sights... The Gun Broker priced me on the same gun with the same sights for 859.99... you do the math...

Ouch. I was hoping this would be a good store. Would be nice to have a local one.

I'm in Mac regularly, and just happened to see the sign the second week he was open. Really nice guy, lives in Grand Ronde in the hills above the Casino. Would like to support the local business too, but his prices are "Over-the-Top". Too bad.... Maybe as he gets established, he will lower prices to a reasonable level.

I think there were a lot of people who observed what was going on just before and after the election with firearms sales and some of the outrageous prices that were being paid back then and recently decided to try to get in on the surge and make a quick buck. Unfortunately for them, they haven't seen the wind shift. Could be they also got taken and just can't admit to themselves that maybe they made a mistake getting into the business. I know for a fact that new firearms sales is not a high profit business. You make your money on ammo, accessories, and used guns that you manage to buy right. Keith's doesn't make the kind of money he makes because of huge profit margins. He makes it on turning a lot of inventory over.

Stopped in there today. Bought a pound of Ramshot Silhouette to
try on my Open gun, and a set of Allen Sound Sensor hearing protectors
(in PINK) for a stocking stuffer for the wife.
Powder price was up there, but no one else has Silhouette on the shelf,
and it was cheaper than ordering a pound and paying hazmat.
Hearing protectors, same deal. Probably cheaper than buying online
and paying shipping. I'll pay a little more to support a local business,
and am happy with what I got.
There were PRIMERS on the shelf!! Large rifle and small pistol Winchester.
IIRC they were $4.49/100.
Pricing on guns looks a bit high. It will adjust, or they will sit there. That's
business. No place else to buy a new handgun in McMinnville, but
Freddy's in Newberg isn't that far away, and Salem isn't all that far
either.
Nice little shop, friendly people. Heck---even the dog was friendly,
especially after it figured out I had doggie treats in my pocket.

Actually, the Edge Exchange is selling new handguns lately, but their prices are almost as bad as Buck Wild's. Saw a Security Six in there recently for a decent price, (maybe $450?), but it's mostly Taurus semi-autos and the occasional overpriced Colt.
Yeah, Buck Wild is charging above a reasonable margin for his hardware. I know he sunk a lot of money into the store to get it stocked, but really, too much is too much.

The edge exchange also wants 749 for a cheap AK. And some of his old rifles are as much as a brand new one, and 450 for a pistol grip mossberg. Almost everything that guy has is expensive. Everyonce in a while there's an OK deal.

Come into Mac from the north---through lafayette.
About 3/4 mile into town you will see Goodwill/Riteaid on the right. Get in the
right lane. Look for a sign on the right for A&E safe and alarm. Buck Wild
is the next drive to the right, just behind A&E and directly across the
highway from Larsen Motors. 833 NE Hwy 99. They do not face the highway, but are in a little complex of small shops/offices.

I think buck wild is no longer in business. They were only next to walmart for a short time. The web site is no longer up as well.
