Thread: Binocular reviews

Does anyone know of a website that offers objective, technical performance reviews and comparisons of the higher end binoculars like Zeiss, Steiner, Leica, Swarovski, etc. They're all good, I know, but for the money involved, it would be nice to know it's being spent on substance rather than branding hype. Thanks for any leads.

I have always been happy with Better View Desired, BVD is a birding sight that reviews optics and they are very good.

Try this one "Longrangehunting.com". There is a plethora of good info there.

FWIW, I think the Pentax DCF SP series of binoculars are an incredible value. Very close to Swarovski quality for about half the price.

+1 on the above mentioned Pentax.
I work in the industry and it's what I own.
There are nicer, but as stated, 2-3 times the money.
Also depends on what you are doing with them.
I have the 8x42 DCF and they are great for hunting.
