    Default RCR123 batt

Does any of you guys use rechargable RCR123 batteries in your streamlight; ie tactical flashlights. I have a 2 cell and was looking to get some for mine. Where do you purchase them at?

    Streamlight says no.
    Look under batteries.

Main reason why rechargeable 123 if not recommend is unsteady voltage.

Worst case you can blow up the flashlight and harm yourself or others.

some lights can run run an 18650 rechargeable Li-ion battery. They are just about the same length as 2 cr123's, but slightly larger in diameter. You would want to check and see if its compatible first. Also there are a whole list of other issues with running them. But if you can run them, they are great as long as you know what you are doing. I have one 18650 that has held perfect charge for 2yrs with absolutely no use. Just sat in a bin in my garage. gotta love that.
