    Default 50 BMG

I have seen a 50 BMG match at Rattlesnake Gun Club out in Tri Cities. They have a 1,000 yard range. The power of this round is truly impressive in person.

On a range it is cool......to see a MA2HB chew a steel boat into swiss cheese in a cloud of smoke and water spray is AWESOME!!

As far as I know, neither Tri-county gun club, nor Douglas Ridge Rifle Club allow the use of the 50 cal on their ranges. Douglas Ridge used to allow it, but hasn't allowed it for some time...maybe they changed back, but I don't think so.

Thnxs guys,, I think i have come to my senses. although a .50 would be a cool toy, it doesnt look like it would be prudent to own, and would probably just be another gunsafe queen in my collection.

Buy a .338 Lapua - pretty much as expensive to feed and usable at all the ranges.

    $3,795 - although that's the cheap part.
