Thread: TCGC IPSC Rain or Shine?

I've been to a few matches at TCGC but it's always been clear weather. I see this sunday it's supposed to rain pretty much the whole day. I don't mind shooting in the rain but don't want to drive up there if it's going to get cancelled after a stage or two. Are the IPSC matches there run like Football or Baseball as far as weather is concerned?

They shoot in the rain and just place plastic bags on the

I don't think they cancel matches do to rain.
The match is designed this month for carry guns 6 shot friendly
and low round count.

I am pretty sure they shoot in the rain. I have been to a Dundee match where the rain was so heavy it was bouncing off the gun as I shot and obscuring the sights, pretty wild.

well it didn't really rain last month and the match went just fine....guess I'll get my first taste of shooting in the rain tomorrow.

They have canceled due to weather at Tri-C, but it is really rare.

December 2008 about 12 of us showed up. Raining SIDEWAYS. HARD.
Set up/tried to shoot for an hour or so. Targets blowing over, walls
blowing over, steel targets blowing over. Darned near people blowing
over. We quit trying.

Albany has canceled USPSA matches due to icy roads a couple of times.

AFAIK we have never canceled a match at Dundee due to weather, but
there were a couple of times we maybe should have.
