Default hey sully, question for you!

Hey Sully, we haven't met before but i have seen some of your post and that you have a new store and have been waiting for a bit to make the drive to take a look around. I have a few questions though...1) What do you think of Rock River Arms LAR-15 Elite Operator 2. I am no Ranger or Delta opererative but would like a nice reasonable priced gun for some weekend target and home defense. I'm asking about the gun because they are having a sale currently for $1000 and it looks like it comes with some nice extras already installed on it. 2) I have a DPMS lower that is ready for a upper. Would like something with a little bit more accrucy yet appealing appearance and have been looking at the La Rue Tactical Stealth Sniper System LT011. Curious on any feed back you have on either one of these two items and their cost and quality. and 3) If I chose to purchase a firearm directly from a manufacture, do you handle FFL transfers or sales of these items if someone were to order one from the companies them selves. Im not sure on what the normal process is. Also I just moved here from Minnesota and have not applied for a Oregon drivers liceanse yet and need to know if that is the first and/or primary requirement to purchase a firearm here. I know I can order the upper myself but with this sale, I might have to purchase the RRA gun first.
Sorry about the long worded question thread, just trying to be detailed. Thanks for your time and looking forward to your response and making it in to your shop to gander and check out what you have.

You're asking the right person. I had asked Sully for advice when I was looking for a new battle rifle in 5.56mm and was toying around with the HK as an option. Jason provided me some very detailed reasons why I could go another direction, save about a grand, and have what would equate to a very on-par to superior rifle.

I did my independent research after talking with him, found what he said to be gospel, and went with his recommendation. When I told a couple of GB friends at Lewis-McChord, they told me I had "immaculate taste in weapontry."

So yeah, they should've known they were talking about Sully, but I made sure to relay the compliment.

I personally have not had good luck with RRA. We have had a few of their rifles from different customers that we had multiple problems with rifles new in the box. The LaRue stuff is nice. It's a little pricey and they are not very nice people to deal with. But their quality is definitely there. We do firearm transfers, but for actual firearms you will need an Oregon ID. I will do whatever I can to help you out. Let me know.

    Sincerely, J
MAY GOD HAVE MERCY ON MY ENEMIES BECAUSE I WON'T
