Default SOLD: Springfield .45 gi mil spec 1911

I have a new Springfield GI MilSpec .45 in a 1911 configuration that needs a home. The factory model number is PW9108LP. I ordered this for a customer and it's not the one he wanted. Go figure. So I need to unload it. I will take $525.00 for it plus the $10 background fee. The gun is new in the box with all the normal stuff they come with from the factory. Let me know. Not really interested in any trades unless it's something I can turn around immediately and sell.

    Thanks

I will try to take some pics tomorrow. In the mean time you can go to Sprinfield's web page and see the gun there.

    Thanks, Jason

Uh, I think that's the wrong picture. Model listed, PW9108LP, is the Mil-Spec Parkerized, and the picture above is of the Springfield Loaded, a way different gun, with more bells and whistles, and a commensurate higher price.

normally i don't like to poo in other people classified ads, however i have some info that might shed some light on the gun described above.

its a common error people make describing the sa 1911's. there is no such beast as a
Springfield GI MilSpec .45 in a 1911 configuration
. the g.i. and the milspec are two different guns. the g.i. is the true to the original gun. it has the small ejection port, non beveled magwell, and vertical slide serations. the milspec has the lowered flared ejection port, beveled magwell, angled slide serations and three dot sights. not the brightest naming or marketing strategy on springfields part.

the model number given by sully above
The factory model number is PW9108LP.
is for the g.i. model. you can read about it here. this is a really great gun, at a really great price. somebody needs to get down there before i getting an itch. my wallet just can't take it.

Thanks for shedding some light on this. The GI and the MilSpec are two different models. But it does say on the box GI MilSpec and that is the only reason I put it in the ad. Just wanted to let you know I was not trying to be sneaky. Thanks again for the help.

    Sincerely, Jason

They are classified as GI Milspec and Milspec, it's more a "mistake" on SA's side of things. Both are great guns and this is a pretty good price to boot!
