Anybody use one? I'm thinking of adding to my single stage and think they look like a good deal. What about the Lyman all american? Its an older turret I can get cheaply.
Lyman makes a good turret press. Only issue that surfaces with any turret is the alignment of the holes with the center line of the ram. If there is any variation you can end up with issues in sizing and seating. You can overcome some of this issue if present by using an O-ring beneath the die lock nut. Helps the die self-align if there is any offset. For hunting and general target rounds probably not an issue. For those who check every finished round for concentricity more of an issue.
I have an older Lyman turret press, Spar-T, that I bought used over 20 years ago. I still use it for my hunting rifle loads. It's a good piece of machinery. It's a step up speed wise from a single stage and I'd say go for it.
